Parties: “You” (the client/user) and DoneLy Home Services (“we”, “us”, “our”)
1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking, using, or requesting our cleaning services via donely.ca (the “Site”), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, as well as our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or request our services.
2. Scope of Services
• We provide residential and/or commercial cleaning services as agreed in each booking or contract. Specific service details (tasks, frequency, location, time, access instructions, supplies/materials, etc.) will be confirmed in your booking confirmation or separate agreement.
• Estimated cleaning time is approximate. Any additional work will only be performed with your approval and after communicating any additional charges.
• Our services do not include regulated or licensed trade work. We do not perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, or other services that legally require certification or licensing under Nova Scotia law.
3. Booking, Payment & Cancellation
• You agree to pay the fees stated in your booking confirmation.
• Payment methods and timing (e.g., upfront, deposit, after service) will be communicated at the time of booking.
• Credit or debit card payments may be made online at booking or immediately upon service completion. Late payments (if payment is not received before cleaners leave) may incur a fee of CAD 50 per day.
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking if premises are unsafe, access is not provided, or for other legitimate reasons.
• You may cancel or reschedule with at least 48 hours’ notice without penalty.
• Cancellations or rescheduling made less than 48 hours before the scheduled time will be subject to a cancellation fee of CAD 75.
4. Client & Provider Obligations
• You agree to provide safe and lawful access to the premises.
• Any keys, access codes, or special instructions must be provided in advance. We are not responsible for issues resulting from incorrect or incomplete access information.
• You confirm that you own the property or have authorization to allow cleaning services.
• You agree to provide necessary utilities (water, electricity, etc.).
• We will perform services with reasonable care and professionalism and may use employees or subcontractors as needed.
• We operate in compliance with the Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• We reserve the right to refuse service in unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Any subcontractors engaged by us will be insured and required to meet our safety and quality standards.
• You agree to provide a safe working environment, including safe entry, adequate lighting, and absence of hazardous conditions.
• We offer a 24-hour quality guarantee. Any issues must be reported within 24 hours of service completion. We will return to correct legitimate issues at no additional cost.
5. Liability, Insurance & Damage
• We maintain appropriate business and liability insurance coverage.
• We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, or issues unrelated to our negligence.
• If damage occurs due to our negligence, our liability is limited to the amount covered and paid by our insurance provider.
• Any claims for damage must be reported within 24 hours of service completion.
• We are not responsible for loss or damage to high-value or fragile items (e.g., cash, jewelry, collectibles, antiques) unless specifically agreed in writing prior to service.
6. Use of Site / Account
If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for misuse or violation of these Terms.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the Site with a new effective date. Continued use of our Site or services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nova Scotia unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. These Terms, together with any referenced policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
